The rest of February is gonna be a shitty month for me! I have soooo many projects and papers to do! Aaaaargh! My head hurts just thinking about all the work to be done! There's one paper due next week, and I haven't even started doing it yet! God give me strength! I'm so looking forward to going back home at the end of this month, even though just for a few days.. I miss JKT.

kaya atau bahagia

It is 01.29 AM. I'm chatting with my best friend, Vika.

Sahabat saya, Vika Rahma, melontarkan kembali pertanyaan yang pernah dia lontarkan ke saya sekitar 2 tahun yang lalu...

"Lo mendingan kaya tapi gak bahagia,
atau kere tapi bahagia?"

Pertanyaan klasik ya.. antara kaya dan bahagia, bagaikan hidup dan mati, seolah sangat berlawanan..

Dua tahun yang lalu, saya spontan menjawab, "Ya mendingan kaya tapi gak bahagia lah! Kebahagiaan kan bisa aja dibeli!"
itulah saya dahulu. Dangkal, dungu, atau mungkin goblok.

Tapi, sekarang jawaban saya berbeda. Sekarang, tanggal 5 februari, pukul 01.29 pagi, saya menjawab, "Mendingan kere tapi bahagia, Vik. Kebahagiaan itulah yang akan membuat gw kaya, bukan duit."

I know you probably think I'm a fat ass hypocrite for saying that. Yes, I still think money is important, but I'm just saying that if I had to choose, I would rather be rich of happiness than be rich of money. Wow, I must be growing wiser, huh?!?!

So, where is my source of happiness? It seems to be missing lately.

I found that piece of literature while browsing random people's tumblr. It didn't say who wrote it, and that is just a small portion of the poem (is it a poem? I'm not sure as to what it is exactly). It felt like a smack on the face, no wait, more like a kick in the balls, when I read it. SIGH.

Anyway, I was planning to watch Prodigy live tomorrow, but I'm so not in the mood for concerts and crowds right now, so I canceled. Thinking of using the money to buy an adidas vespa instead. No, not the motorcycle, the sneakers =D.

Skins

I'm currently watching this British comedy-drama series called Skins, about a group of Bristol kids facing the ups and downs of life. I have been a Skins addict since the first season. Now it just started the third season with new cast members. I've only watched up to episode two of season 3, and I'm already liking it as much as the previous seasons! Watching this series is like breathing fresh air, because not like other teenage dramas where backstabbing, popularity, blackberry and fashion seems to be the only important problems on this earth, Skins seems to remain true and real, without missing all the fun of teen angst. Check Skins out, it's so much fun to watch, you won't regret it.
